Renowned for its dramatic landscapes, North Devon has escaped much of the modern day commercialism associated with many tourist areas.
The area hosts a wide variety of Gardens & Houses, family attractions, theatres and leisure facilities. Sea and coarse fishing are accessible nearby and there are three top golf courses including two championship courses at Saunton.
Within close proximity of Stowford there is the Exmoor National Park – wild open moorland, deep river valleys, wooded gorges and the rugged appeal of Valley of the Rocks. Lynmouth – England’s ‘Little Switzerland’ – provides some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the British Isles. Elsewhere along the coastal fringe you will find magnificent cliff headlands, sheltered coves, picturesque harbours and stretches of golden, sandy surfing beaches.
Only 8 miles away is Woolacombe, a regular winner of both Blue Flag and Premier Awards for beach safety and cleanliness, and rated on of the top 10 beaches in the world.
